BIRD TOURS – Madeira, Brazil and Ghana

MADEIRA – Petrels & Cetaceans Special - JUNE 2012
Madeira is a truly spectacular island with some very special seabirds. This tour involves three pelagic trips searching for the specialities such as Fea’s, Zino’s and Bulwer’s Petrel. BRAZIL – Rainforest Endemics - AUGUST 2012
This tour is a one-base tour staying at the very comfortable Guappi Assu Bird Lodge. The beauty of this lodge is that you can see so many species and within just a short walk from the lodge. Over 450 species have been recorded on REGUA land and ncludes species such as Giant Snipe, Shrike-like Cotinga and Spot-billed Toucanet. The lodge is actively involved in re-planting the forest and educating local school children about the fragile forest ecosystem. This is something that you will contribute to by joining this tour.

GHANA – Plover to Picathartes - NOVEMBER 2012
GHANA is a fantastic and very safe country to visit with some truly amazing birds. This tour focusses on the Upper Guinea Forest Endemics as well as including a trip to the savannah areas of Mole NP famous for its elephants and then the Bogatanga area for the wonderful Egyptian Plover. Donations from this tour will aid work with the Ghana Wildlife Society to supply a much needed hide for viewing the Yellow-headed Picathartes, a bird we shall see on the tour.
